One of the most beautiful and picturesque touristic areas in the country, the champaign of Rucar, situated in the nord-east of the county of Arges is an unending spring of history, etnography, traditions and customs, pleasing the eye of the viewer with unique landscapes. Old and unchangeable establishment, Rucar is nested in the heart of the Carpathians at the crossing of two rivers: the Rausor, sweepingly coming from inside the Iezer, and the Dambovita.
